Course Description
The philosopher, Ludwig Wittgenstein said:
‘The limits of my language mean the limits of my world”….
To celebrate Linguistpd widening its training to both spoken and sign language interpreters, this webinar will focus on how to enhance your English language skills.
As interpreters in training, we spend many years honing our second or sign language skills – and rightly so. But ask yourself:
'How much time do I devote to enhancing my use of the English language?...'
Are you limiting yourself?
What do you know about passive and active vocabulary? How can you extend your lexicon thus reflecting your client most accurately? We’re delighted to welcome Helen Fuller, an interpreter of almost 25 years, as well as a trainer, qualified assessor and verifier for vocational interpreting qualifications.
Completion of this course will give you a minimum of 2 hours' structured CPD points. You will also be provided with a number of resources for you to gain further unstructured CPD points.
This course is available for 90 days from the date you purchased it.
